The webshop softwares are released in new versions s on a regular basis. The upgrades contain bug fixes but more important, they also includes security fixes. To keep your installation up to date and secure it is of greatest importance that it is maintained and upgraded on a regular basis. Or else you might find your web store hacked or exploited in some other way.

The solution

HelTech offers a Webshop release maintenance service at a fixed fee per year, regardless of how many relases there are during the period. Your webshop software installation will always be updated.

HelTech Webshop release maintenance service includes:

• HelTech continously follow the development of the webshop software and checks for new releases.
• HelTech will always download a new release and test it in our own lab environment before deploying it on customer sites.
• Optionally, if you like to have a warning before HelTech commences the upgrade of your site, you will recieve an email from HelTech and HelTech will await your clearance before upgrading your site.
• Upgrading your sandbox installation in addition to your live site is at no extra charge. If you have a copy of your website running at a different location for testing/development, a so called sandbox, we will first upgrade your sandbox installation for you. After you have verified it and giving HelTech clearance, we will proceed and upgrade your live site.
• Before the upgrade of your site, HelTech will backup your entire site, including dumping the MySQL database that the webshop uses. This is to make it possible to quickly revert to the older version if needed.
• HelTech will verify functionality on cooperation with you. If possible, smaller issues will be resolved. If a major problem is encountered, we will revert to the last working version and resolve it before proceeding.
• When the upgrade is finished, you will recieve an email from HelTech informing you about the upgrade.

Problems with installed modules and themes can be checked and upgraded on a hour based rate (i.e. it is not included in the above release maintanence service). This will only be done after a separate agreement. 

Price

Webshop release maintenance service costs per year €299 EUR or 2995 SEK (excl moms/vat, not applicable in all countries). Compared to the one time price below, you are making a good deal on this if there are more than 3 updates per year, which it normally is.

The price is regardless of the number of  webshop upgrades that are being released within your current branch tree (1.4.x for example). You will be guaranteed that your webshop software will be up to date with the latest version during the service period.
